Capo Testa is a granite headland at the far north of Sardinia, a few kilometres from Santa Teresa Gallura. Wind-sculpted rocks, crystal-clear water and a view reaching all the way to Corsica make it one of the most beautiful spots in Gallura.
The beaches
On either side of the isthmus lie Rena di Levante and Rena di Ponente, twin beaches of pale sand. Nearby is the wild Cala Spinosa and, in Santa Teresa, the easy-to-reach Rena Bianca.
Valle della Luna and the lighthouse
The Valle della Luna is a sweep of granite boulders shaped by the wind, a paradise for hikers and photographers. From the lighthouse, panoramic trails overlook the Strait of Bonifacio — unmissable at sunset. Between a swim and a walk, snorkelling among the rocks and a drink with a view: Capo Testa is lived slowly.
